Flawless

Annette Benedetti, Poetry

Dear Daughter,

What if you believed you were perfectAnnette Benedetti, Portland, poetry
just the way you are?

What if you looked at your strong legs
the curve of your hips
the dip of your stomach
and only felt love?

What if when your eyes fell on your reflection
what you saw staring back was flawless?

If you can do all of this
I promise,
you will know freedom
you will be unstoppable

your life will be
yours.
