Old Portland Farmhouse in Spring

The spring rain comes and goes. Flowers are unfolding everywhere.

Slices of the bluest Portland sky can be seen between layers of moody clouds that range in color from the brightest white to the angriest of grey.

This little farmhouse and barn sits on a small piece of land surrounded by highways and roads and powerlines. The city is closing in on it, but when you look at it through the lens it’s a perfect country scene.

Absolutely beautiful.

I loved this scene so much, I couldn’t decide which photo to post. I love the dog in the photo above. But the detail in the image below makes the house feel like home.

The barn was separated from the house by a grouping of large, old trees.

It sat right off of a road, which comes up to the bottom edge of this image.
